“Cross Country Random Acts of Flowers” is the undertaking of artist Andrea LaHue. A prolific LA based painter, LaHue started painting giant flowers, “Random Act’s, in her neighborhood, on “transitioning” buildings as the economy started to tank. It quickly evolved as her interaction with the community during and regarding the “Random Acts” was positive, inspiring and more “Acts” were encouraged. Now, her flowers are painted on uninhabited “for lease” storefronts bringing passers by a smile and reminding everyone who sees it, beauty and growth are imminent. These flowers are enjoyed by the communities and commuters across Los Angeles and amplify the storefront and “for lease” sign in a positive, creative and valuable manner. LaHue has been asked to paint her “Random Acts of Flowers” in and on homes, pre-schools, stores and office buildings.
