Celebrating Mother Earth and her WATER Street Art Style
Los Angeles, CA, April 7, 2015: The second annual #EarthdayStreet celebration is taking place in Los Angeles Starting April 18th, 2015 with Water as the main focus, using the hashtags #earthdaystreet2015 and #WaterLove2015. Andrea LaHue aka Random act and The StreetArt Brokerage Firm have put out the call for artists and community to connect by celebrating the EARTH and her WATER with art and a hashtag. #EarthdayStreet2015, using the same format as last year, will have well over 30 artists in at least three Los Angeles locations. The following weekend, the celebration and creativity will continue in Reno, Nevada.
In Los Angeles, the South Central location will be organized by Smile South Central’s Adam Ayala (@che_2a), in West Hollywood at the Fame Yard, Artist Jennifer Korsen will be curating, and The Gabba Arts District near 3124 Beverly, Artist Jason Ostro of The Gabba Gallery and Street Art Brokerage Firm will be curating. The Los Angeles #EarthdaysStreet2015 event will take place the weekend of April 18 and 19, followed by a Reno #EarthdayStreet2015 event April 25th and 26th, 2015 with two locations curated by Pan Pantoja from Reno Art Works, Andrea LaHue and Rich Van Gogh from Liberty Fine Art Gallery.

#EarthdayStreet is the brainchild of Andrea LaHue aka Random Act, as a natural fit with her earth based work and flowers. Last year’s event was successful in transforming three lots with works of over 30 artist, kicking of a project in South Central, making a deep impression in all three neighborhoods, which have continued with the transformative power of street art. The artist contributing to #EarthdayStreet2015 thus far are Andrea LaHue aka Random Act, Jason Ostro, Jennifer Korsen, Bandit, Sketchy, Septerhed, Bryce Chisholm, Joe C Rock, Pan Pantoja and many more.
The Gabba Gallery and Random Act Projects have combined their efforts to enrich artists and community through Street Art, public projects, exhibitions, education, community outreach and beautification, to create The StreetArt Brokerage Firm. It’s first project being to partner with The Google Cultural Institute to pollinate and curate the Los Angeles content and exhibitions for their online Street Art platform. The StreetArt Brokerage firm spearheads the creation of two annual citywide community art events, #EarthdayStreet and #PeaceStreet and seeks partnerships, such as the Google Cultural Institute and Smile South Central, creating community and furthering the reputation of Los Angeles as the epicenter of Street Art and Arts Culture worldwide.
This non-profit, 501c3 endeavor is not a corporate sponsored event, rather, for the people and by the people. In Los Angeles, Adam Ayala (@che_2a) will be curating an area in South Central near 48th and Crenshaw, artists will be painting the 18th and 19th of April, collaborating with his Smile South Central Project, celebrating a year of transformation in this neighborhood of Los Angeles.
In “Silver Lake Adjacent,” Filipino Town, otherwise known as The Gabba Arts District, around 3125 Beverly in Los Angeles, California, Jason Ostro, owner of The Gabba Gallery (@thegabbagallery) and partner in the StreetArt Brokerage Firm (@theStreetArtBrokerageFirm), is curating another #AlleyProject, dedicated to Earth and Water themes, joining in the project and furthering the beautification and rejuvenation of this area. The artist will be painting there April 18th and 19th, 2015.
The “Fame Yard” in West Hollywood is being curated by artist Jennifer Korsen (@humansmakeart) and will take place between 9am -5pm on Sunday April 19th.
The community is invited to watch the painting process, interact with the artists and contribute their pictures to the #earthdaystreet2015 community, on April 18th and 19th.
On April 25th and 26th, Artists Andrea LaHue aka Random Act, Rich Van Gogh of Liberty Fine Art Gallery, Pan Pantoja of Reno Art Works and Eric Brooks from Art Spot Reno will welcome international street artists up to Reno.
The main Reno #earthdaystreet2015 #WaterLove2015 curated wall painting will take place at 115 West Liberty, across from Liberty Fine Art Gallery, curated by Andrea LaHue and Rich Van Gogh on April 25th and 26th 10-6 pm.
