Making Street Art Flowers: Divinly Guided and Radical Trust

Many different layers go into the making of the random act paintings.  I don’t generally have a concrete plan, rather, I let the “now” inform the work.

The flowers generally come at the end, making themselves known in one way or another.

Below are some images of the different layers of two of the paintings.  Often I will paint more than one background at a time and wait for the flowers to come.

It’s interesting to look  back at these.  I realize I cherish each stage and often fall in love with the backgrounds.

This series is up now at Muse on 8th, in Los Angeles, California,  through August 2016.  There will be an artist reception, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 7pm to 10pm.

I have a little goodie for the first 20 to arrive.

As always, #FlowersforthePeople
